An exciting pool of energetic and fun activities

Splashing about in the pool with the kids is a fantastically fun way to spend a holiday. Take away wonderful memories from your Haven Experience with great days in our fully manned, well equipped and heated pools. Every day you'll enjoy a great range of water-based fun, play and relaxation activities. You may even find that there's so much to do in the water that you can't do it all in one visit.

Learn2Swim* - £4 per lesson

A professional programme approved by the Swimming Teachers Association (STA). It aims to get children (or adults) swimming. 
There are 5 levels of achievement, with certificates awarded accordingly on completion.
Learn2Swim £4 per lesson  

Level 1 - Aim to build confidence and explore early stages of swimming and bring a sense of achievement and enjoyment to every child.
Age guide; 4yrs+
Level 2 - Participants required to be able to swim 5 metres front and back paddle. Also discover the amazing world under the surface.
Age guide; 6yrs+
Level 3 - Participants able to swim 15 metres of 2 recognised strokes. Also learn how to swim like a dolphin and perform somersaults.
Age guide; 7yrs+
Level 4 - Required to swim 25 metres front and back crawl and be competent in deep water. Also learn how to develop your technique and stamina.
Age guide; 8yrs+

Fun Inflatables

Kids really look forward to the moment when the giant fun inflatable appears. It's so much like a party atmosphere we call them our Giant Pool Inflatable Parties. Another great way we make water more fun at Haven.
Fun Inflatable £5.00 per session

Aquacise*

A low impact fitness and well-being routine developed in conjunction with the Swimming Teachers Association (STA), involving movement and exercise in the water. It's fun, dead easy, and something all the family can enjoy.

Aqua Gliders*

Looks like a jet-ski, behaves like a bumper car - these mini-motorised inflatables enable you to scoot around the pool. You can play it cool, or go on the attack, making sure your friends or family are in for a bumpy ride.
Suitable for 5-8yrs wearing a life vest, and suitable for 8yrs+ who can swim 25m unaided.

AquaJets*

Get the feel and excitement of exploring the underwater world. These funky, fun-sized powered submersibles pull you through or under the water, with a fish-like ability to turn, twist or dive. Leaves you breathless with excitement.

Surf Rider*

Essentially it's a multi-activity teaching programme that covers a range of water-based skills and abilities in a controlled pool environment, that will be of great use and benefit in exciting sea-based activities. Helping swimmers gain confidence and ability, encouraging them to further explore the thrill and excitement of the real thing. Certificates are awarded on completition of each level verifying competency.

Body Board and Skin Diving 
The thrill of skin diving and the exhilaration of body boarding, all magically simulated in the pool. 
Discover Snorkelling 
An introduction to the experience of the underwater world. 
Lifeguard Initiation 
Learn some of the skills and procedures of our poolside Lifeguards and gain a real advantage in the water. 

Surf Rider Programme £5.00 per session
Participants must be able to swim 25m unaided and be 8yrs+.

Water Tots*

Water Tots is gentle water play, helping pre-school children gain confidence and ability in the water.

NEW for 2008 - Adventure SplashZone

The new Adventure Pool at Thorpe Park offers fantastic water fun, excitement and relaxation for all ages in a beautiful natural setting.

Grab a tube and float on the lazy river. It will gently transport you around the park. Brave the space bowl for an exhilarating spin before you plunge into the water below. Experience the speed and excitement as you go down the adventure flumes at the rate of knots. Plus, there is the kiddies flume for the children to enjoy. 

Please note:

Children under 8 and non-swimmers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult in order to gain access to the SplashZone. An adult may be responsible for a maximum of 2 children under the age of 8 at any one time. 

Non and poor swimmers must not go out of their depth and the wearing of approved swimming aids is recommended. SplashZone activities - we operate a booking system for these activities due to their popularity. Please make sure you reserve your place when you arrive.
