Nature Reserve

The reserve is an area of open water, reed beds, scrub and grassland renowned for its wildlife. It is nationally recognised, as a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’, for its birds but also has important populations of dragonflies, butterflies, hoverflies and other animals such as bats.

Spring brings migrant birds to Marton Mere, along with the common migrants like Swallows and Swifts. Marton Mere has regularly attracted rare visitors from all over the northern hemisphere.

SplashZone

Kids spend hours of fun at our fantastic SplashZone whilst their parents can relax in the sun on one of our Sun beds. 

Watch out as Rory and Bradley characters are waiting to squirt you with water, be careful where you step as you might get wet with our water jets. Ride the waves with Wave Rider. All this and many more water features await you.

The SplashZone is a perfect place for the children to play safely and creates new levels of fun and excitement.
